NEW PERU

The last stage of the Peruvian history began in 1980 with a new constitution and civil government again but Peru had to face domestic violence to defeat terrorist organizations in 1992. At that time Peru had also beaten the problem of hyperinflation.
After a corruption scandal, President Alberto Fujimori was forced to resign in 2000 as the constitution says, the Congress President, Mr Valentin Paniagua took office.
Following the call for elections Mr Alejandro Toledo was elected president until 2006 that Alan Garcia relay.
Currently the President of the Country is Mr. Ollanta Humala
The history of Peru is full of three repeated mistakes, their governments were acting immediatist without any strategic long term. Their governments were deeply idealistic and often phrases like refound the country were heard. And the high level of corruption.
Since 2000 just can say that Peru has matured as a nation and has established long-term national agreement and truly democratic governments policies.
Peru currently has sustained economic growth for several years
