In the district
of Ate Limeño find the archaeological site Puruchuco.
Palace collects
Puruchuco building tradition of ijma (900-1450 AD) and later the Incas. Ichma
took the materials and construction techniques, as well as some of their
designs, such as the pyramids with ramps, and Incas, the overall architectural
design and interior structures.
Among the
objects found in the area, and exhibited in the museum, highlights the
"Puruchuco" or "Crown of Feathers", a Quechua word which
comes the name of the place. This crown probably belonged to the local curaca
and is unique among the artifacts found in Metropolitan Lima. It was developed
based on colorful feathers and camel hair.
The
infrastructure of the museum was designed to highlight the historical
trajectory of a unique archaeological site, becoming the first of its kind in
Latin America.
